However, social marketers must also have a solid understanding of business and marketing. Smart social media marketers also know how to align social media to business goals. Building a career as a social marketer is not as easy as jumping on Twitter posting some 140 character tweets and selfie snaps.

Unfortunately, many businesspersons jump into the fields of social networks, tweets, blogs, and Facebook live video to find themselves overwhelmed. Let us discuss tools and tricks to do effective social media marketing. Register today.

Many entrepreneurs start out excited only to find their hopes of a career in social media completely deflated. Not only do they feel overwhelmed but also they find it hard to show and prove their value. They lack the necessary training to understand data and measurement, conversion funnels, content marketing, SEO, SMO, and digital marketing skills and the list goes on. It is even more challenging for startups that lack solid business or marketing experience in the real world. I have 40+ years business experience and will share many tips for effective social media marketing.

Many professionals have taken out time to attend my previous training sessions. I have received several encouraging feedback.

The truth is that social media is neither a Band-Aid nor a quick fix. You need to learn SEO and SMO. Hiring a cheap trainee who knows how to tweet, post on facebook, and stream a live video is not going to fix your brand perception problems. Armatures will not inspire your customers to engage in a relationship with you. Person new to social media is not going to help you. Invest some time and money to learn new technologies.

You must know how to push change when needed and integrate social media technologies and best practices into the business, not force it. We are all learning and the only guarantee we have is change. I know it is not easy but who said branding is easy? Do you know you can embed a Facebook Event Page in a Blog (or website)?  Here is an illustrative example:-
