  • What is the difference between Company Page and Local Business Page?
If you have a local business. I strongly recommend creating a Facebook Page. There are several kinds of Page. Select Facebook Page for local business.
When creating a Facebook Business page, the very first step is to choose what type of page you would like.
  1. Real Estate
  2. Retail
  3. Hospital
  4. Hospitality
Company, Organization or InstitutionIf you are an online store, have more than one location or foot traffic is not of major importance for your business, this is the option for you.
Features:
1.    Contact information  2.    Mission  3.    Awards  4.    Products
Option to add the ‘check-in’ ability after initial set upIn addition to the features above, the list of business categories is different for each page type. As an example, Local Business Pages include categories such as Restaurant, Beauty Salon, Retail Shop etc. whereas Company Pages have categories such as Consulting/Business services.
Local Business or PlaceIf you have a ‘bricks and mortar’ store or want people to physically visit you, the Local Business or Place page is for you.
Features:
1.    Contact information  2.    Trading hours  3.    Price range  4.    Parking options  5.    The ability of people to ‘check-in’  6.    Allows reviews  7.    Map listing
If you think you have selected the wrong option for your business, you can always change it! Once you set up your Facebook Page, you can change the category by selecting Edit Page -  >  Update Info. Once you have changed the category, the details required will change according to the new category.
For NGO
Select Cause or Community. For instance Lions Club or Rotary Club. I am a member of the Rotary Club of Pune Lokmanyanagar. So we have a Facebook Page that is Cause or Community’
Public Figure:
For Consultants or Politicians, Select Public Figure. Artist Band or Public Figure. By the way, I have a Public Figure Page! Connect with the Social Media Trainer Jyotindra Zaveri Page
Like and do not forget to tick the 'See First' option.
  • Facebook Marketing
On Facebook, there are over two billion users log in every month. India is a great country. There are about 294 million users in India. That is about 29 Crore users in India. Whether you are using Facebook for branding or not, your competitors are using. A very big market opportunity waiting for you.
Facebook Messenger is the top mobile app by the number of downloads. And the main Facebook app is second on the list. The dominance of mobile implies that entrepreneurs need to make online content mobile friendly.
WhatsApp is third and Instagram is fifth in terms of downloads. Did you notice all these Apps are from the same company? Yes, Facebook is the leading company.
  • Focus on Gen Z
  1. Baby Boomers: Baby boomers were born between 1944 and 1964. ...
  2. Gen X: Gen X was born between 1965 - 1979 and are currently between 39-53 years old (82 million people in the U.S.)
  3. Gen Y: Gen Y, or Millennials, were born between 1980 and 1994
  4. Generation Z, are those born in 1995 or later.
Focus on Gen Z in 2019. Gen Z has entered the workforce, and this generation has over 75 million people who are not teenagers anymore – they are consumers who influence $600 billion of family spending.
Gen Z can quickly and efficiently shift between work and play, with multiple distractions going on in the background...working on multiple tasks at once. Just think about how this kind of flow might reshape the office.
Consider this data: 80 million small and medium-size companies are marketing on Facebook on monthly basis. 25 million businesses promote their products on Instagram. 94% of B2B marketers promote their brand by posting regularly on LinkedIn.
The challenge is, how to keep up with the changes on various digital platforms. The answer is to read and study changes in social media sites. Better still come and meet me every Wednesday online at this time. Knowing the latest trends is a proven way to change your social media marketing strategy and sustain the company's success.
Snapchat and Instagram will be the most important social media channel in the year 2019, because Gen Z will dominate the market soon.
  • Include the following in your 2019 action plan:
1.    Amongst your busy schedule does not forget to reply to people who are commenting on your post. This one task you need to do it yourself. All other normal postings etc. you may outsource but replying to comment need to be handled personally. This is almost a daily, or once at least once in two days task.
2.    Another regular task in reviewing and revising keywords. This needs to be done once in three months.
3.    If you are planning any EVENT, make sure you announce the same well in advance. In addition to Facebook Event, post on Meetup and Eventbrite. Do not forget to link the Eventbrite URL in your Instagram profile. See 'Get Ticket' button example (on mobile)
What do you think of the social media marketing trends for 2019? I will be happy to know more in the comments!

Facebook Marketing – Multiple Facebook Pages

Facebook Marketing is the most important presence on social media marketing

You may create Multiple Facebook Pages each for specific target audience

Multiple Facebook Pages. Each for specific audience.

First, you identify the audience, in marketing parlance the ‘audience’ is our customers.

If you have four different category or types of products or services that you want to promote, to four different kinds of customers; you may create four Facebook Pages.

Here is an illustrative example of my four Facebook Pages:
I have created Four Facebook Pages:
  1. Jyoti Social: For Facebook Users who are interested in social media as user / clients / prospects. This Page is focusing on Entrepreneurs, Businesses, Professionals who want to keep updated about social media https://www.facebook.com/JyotiSocial
  2. Jyoti Zaveri Marketing: For Entrepreneurs who would be interested in joining hands with me to become partner.  Collaboration over Competition.  Facebook users who are already having business and wish to expand. This Facebook Page is focusing on Digital Marketing professionals https://www.facebook.com/PartnerWithJyoti/
  3. Jyotindra Zaveri Page: For Health conscious people.  Facebook users who are interested in Meditation, Yoga, and related topics. This Facebook Page is focusing on Health and Lifestyle related topics https://www.facebook.com/JyotindraZaveri/
  4. ERP Ecommerce Page:  For audience interested in topics such as ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) Software, eCommerce, IoT.  Facebook Page ERP Ecommerce Page  https://www.facebook.com/dnserp
Since you are updating your Facebook Page more often, you can embed each Facebook Page in your Website or Blog; so that the same will always have a fresh content. Great idea for Social Media Optimization. I have actually demonstrated the embed in this post. I have used Facebook Plugin.

The advantage of having multiple Facebook Page is to ensure the audience is getting updates in which they are interested. Your Facebook Page is interactive website.
This is better than the traditional website because in traditional website usually there is no mechanism for two-way communications.  Normally people may not like to register on a stranger website so you do not get to know who came to website.  In case of Facebook Page we can easily find out WHO Liked the Page.
Let me know if you wish to learn more about social media marketing +91 9552946949.

Hope you will Plus 1 this post and share with your contacts of social media. Here below I have embedded all four Facebook Pages. You  can actually see the post in real time. Like, Comment and Share!

Facebook Page - Google + Page - LinkedIn Co Page

"Oh Facebook Friends! What do you know the importance of Like?"
All three top networking sites Facebook, Google, and LinkedIn allow you to create Page.  Page on social media is your interactive website.  You may create more than one Page.  Each Page focusing on specific audience.  The best part of the Facebook Page is you get awesome analytic and the 'Likes' much faster:

  • Find Your Way Around
Overview: Get a 7-day snapshot of the most important activity on your Page.
Page: See how your fan base has grown over time and how people are connecting with your Page.
Posts: Compare the performance of all your posts.
People: Learn more about your fans and the people who like, comment and share your posts.

  • Watch Your Audience Grow

See how many times your Page was liked and unliked each day and learn where your likes come from — the different spots on Facebook where people are clicking "Like" to connect to your Page.

  • Understand Your Reach

Posts that get more likes, comments and shares show up more in News Feed and are seen by more people. Posts that are hidden, reported as spam or cause people to unlike your Page reach fewer people.
If you notice a spike or dip, look at what you posted that day to learn more about how you might have influenced your reach.

  • Compare Post Performance

Understanding how people respond to your posts is a critical part of being able to create the best content for your Page. With everything in one place you'll be able to see the best and worst performing posts so you know what works and what doesn't.

  • Get To Know Your Fans

Find out more about who likes your Page (your fans) and who likes, comments on and shares your posts:
  • How your fans are similar and different from other people on Facebook.
  • Common traits of the people who like, comment on or share your posts.
Google Plus Page
However, Google + Page is superior as compared to Facebook Page.  The +1 is similar to Like but Google + Page has obvious advantage of the mighty Google Search Engine supremacy.
Click Google + Page  to view example of Google + Page.

LinkedIn Page
The Number One is LinkedIn Company Page because it is the most professional way to publish your interactive website and get followers.
Click LinkedIn Page to view example of LinkedIn Co Page.

What do you say?
Do you agree that # 1 is Linkedin and # 2 is Google + and # 3 is Facebook Page?

Market-Facebook-Disparity = The gap between a brand’s ranking on Facebook and its real life market position.
  • Above analysis also gathers the information of how many Facebook users talk about a Page (= the brand), better known as “People Talking About”, recently introduced by Facebook.   This value is interesting especially for live trends, but it also defines the overall range of influence of a brand.
Bridge gap between Click & Mortar and Brick & Mortar

Brazilian fashion retailer C&A has an innovative idea.  C&A has found a way to bring customers’ Facebook approval into full view in its real-world stores.  C&A has posted photos of a number of the clothing items it sells on a dedicated Facebook page, where it invites customers to “LIKE” the ones that appeal to them. Special hangers on the racks in its bricks-&-mortar store displays those votes in real time, giving shoppers a clear indication of each item’s online popularity.

Social networking best practices

There are 50+ social networking websites.  Let us take example of the most popular site 'Facebook' to learn Do's and Don'ts of social networking sites.  Here are excerpts from the lecture by Prof. Jyoti Zaveri and the related PPT explaining Facebook best practices.  Learn about security settings, Groups, Page, and so on.

DO and DO NOT of Facebook.
Points worth doing and points that one should not do, while using social networking sites, such as FACEBOOK.
1.       Do proper security settings to maintain your privacy.  Do not share lots of private information with strangers.  Avoid sharing information about your children or share minimum.
2.       Use private message button for one-to-one communications.  Post on the wall is seen by everyone in the contacts and if selected ‘public’ then by everyone.
3.       Join group of your interest to interact with your community.  You can request for joining by clicking on the button ‘ask to join’.  Your friend (contact on Facebook) may add you in a group; however, if you find that the group is not interesting enough, you may leave the group.
a.       Groups can be public.
b.      Groups can be private, only members can see the posts and participate.
4.       Companies (corporate) are publishing website on Facebook, called Facebook Page.  Visit a Facebook Page of a company you would like.  Search the name in the search window (on top) to find the page.  Click on LIKE button to follow the posts and conversations.
5.       Do update your profile with proper name.  Upload your proper picture, preferably only face.  Do not put picture of a cartoon or joker.
6.       Add confirm ‘friends’ only if you know them.  If the picture is missing or you have doubt, send a private message to find more about that person.
7.       Facebook privacy setting is the most important before you start using the Facebook.  Your privacy is in your hand, allow, or do not allow your personal information as per your needs, Facebook has nothing do with it, so you do it yourself.
8.       Limit you time on Facebook.  Do not get addicted.  Commit yourself for not spending over ‘nn’ minutes in a day or in a week.  For instance, “limit 15 minutes in a day or in a week”.
9.       Facebook suggests names of your friends on birthday, this is a good idea to be in touch with your friends, and wish them happy birthday.
10.   Avoid using third party applications (called Apps) on Facebook, these programs before you start using will ask your permission to use your private information by showing a screen with a button ‘ALLOW’, once you click allow, the Apps will use and share your information the way they want.  In other words, it is not Facebook but Apps on Facebook is sharing your privacy because you have allowed it.

Please share these important guide lines with your friends. Wish you safe and happy networking.
You may suggest some points that I have missed out in the comments box provided below.
